Cole was a lover of the outdoors specifically the Colorado outdoors. The Cole Mika Fund will host a free event for youth lacrosse players to give them the opportunity to connect with lacrosse and the outdoors while honoring Cole's spirit.
Attendees will connect with the roots of lacrosse by integrating wilderness awareness, top-tier coaching, and a passion for the natural world.
EARTH Lacrosse focuses on producing the complete lacrosse player which we define as: A community contributor, a fierce and conscious competitor, an ambassador of the game, and a steward of this Earth.
Partnership with Tama Lacrosse

A Cole Mika Fund partnership with Tama Lacrosse.
Location: Colorado Springs, CO.
The Cole Mika Fund is excited to announce a partnership with Tama Lacrosse. One of the barriers to entering the sport of lacrosse is investment in equipment. The average cost of lacrosse equipment is between $515.00 and $1,015.00.
In the Spring of 2023, The Cole Mika Advisory Board's goal was to offer equipment rentals and grants to help more players have the opportunity to try the game Cole loved most, however, the logistics, expense, and management of the program proved to be challenging at the early stage of the fund.

In the Spring of 2024, all approved applicants will receive a rental equipment voucher to be used at Tama Lacrosse. Tama Lacrosse in exchange for the voucher will outfit players with a helmet, shoulder pads, arm guards, and gloves.
El Pomar Youth Sports Park Renovation

A Cole Mika Fund special project in partnership with El Pomar Youth Sports.
Location: El Pomar Youth Sports Park - Colorado Springs, CO.
The goal is to help raise funds and awareness of the redevelopment of a section of the El Pomar Youth Sports Park. Currently, the area identified is not in use. The redevelopment will include a space for families to eat, rest, and, play.
The Cole Mika Fund's specific goal it to help El Pomar Youth Sports Park erect a 40' x12' concrete lacrosse "Rebounder Wall" . Once complete, an area of the space will be dedicated to the life and memory of Cole Mika.

June 21st, 2023 - The Colorado Springs Western Street Breakfast
The Colorado Springs Western Street Breakfast is one of Colorado Springs’ most iconic celebrations of its deep-rooted Western heritage. You’ll enjoy a delicious hot breakfast served by Army/Air Force volunteers. Sit on a straw bale and enjoy entertainment from bands and dancing groups. This event is an annual fundraiser that supports our local military and their families.
Families from the Cheyenne Mountain Lacrosse community will volunteer in support of The Cole Mika Fund.

40 players participated and had an educational experience and a lot of fun.
Learn & experience the history and culture of lacrosse from Native American Coaches and receive instruction from some of the Best College Lacrosse Coaches in the Country!
